The Microsoft Retail Stores Marketing and Experiences team is seeking an experienced Gaming Communities Manager who will lead our programs and events strategy and continue build thriving Gaming Communities within our physical stores. This person will have direct impact on one of our key strategic priorities to become The Best Gaming Destination and deliver against our core purpose of helping customers Discover, Buy, Use, and Love our Microsoft products and services. The Gaming Communities Manager will be the primary point of contact who works with the Gaming Leads across all our stores and with partners across Microsoft, and 3 rd party partners, to bring Microsoft's value proposition for Gaming, both console and PC, to life within our stores through programs and events. It is a unique position to work across multiple teams to identify opportunities and define priorities to develop, plan and execute programs and events for both console and PC gamers. Create, execute and manage exciting and strategic programs that help energize current gaming fans and attract new fans to Microsoft Stores Work with internal and external partners (game publishers, hardware partners, etc.) to identify and develop new opportunities for gaming events and programs in our stores and grow support for the Microsoft Store Gaming Community Program Work closely with Store Gaming Leads to manage and maintain existing gaming programs (Fortnite, League of Legends, Halo, Gears of War, etc.) by gathering feedback, answering questions, providing technical and event guidance,
3 - 5 years of retail, event management, community management and/or marketing experience Experience with planning and executing gaming events, and building gaming communities BA/BS degree, with a focus in Marketing, Communications or Technical majors Passionate about gaming and esports on PC and Console, and experience working in the gaming industry Project management experience, with demonstrated ability to both plan and execute cross-functional projects Ability to work on cross-functional teams Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, diverse cross functional team Proven track record
