The Modern Life and Devices Team defines the consumer vision, product management, business plans and go-to-market strategy for the Modern Life Solution Area and Microsoft's Devices business. As one of the company's largest multi-billion-dollar revenue businesses, the area includes the Windows platform and ecosystem, the Microsoft Surface device portfolio, Office 365 consumer services, Skype, Microsoft's intelligent agent in Cortana and search efforts with Bing, as well as the Microsoft Education Team. To drive business growth and engagement with consumers, we must make smart bets on how to optimize, manage and augment our portfolio of products and underlying capabilities. The team has an exciting new opportunity to define the target audience for Modern Life, understand the unarticulated needs of our customers, and develop a consumer product that will drive business growth. This role would lead that team. You will have a relentless focus on the customer and dive deep into customer use cases,

Create competitor analysis portfolio, define value proposition, and business plan for Microsoft's consumer-centric services Define product vision, create clear value proposition and user experience specifications Work with different Microsoft engineering teams across different consumer services to deliver product and feature roadmaps that results in a world-class customer experience. Define, track, analyze and communicate metrics related to customer funnel. Leverage data, usability studies, research and market analysis to define clear, concise product requirements -- including user stories, mocks,
Required Qualifications: 10+ years of product marketing and management related experience (on Engineering, Product or Marketing teams). 3+ years of people management experience Bachelor's degree OR equivalent education/skill/practical experience in related fields Ideal Qualifications: Demonstrated results working by influencing stakeholders in a highly matrix cross-functional organization Ability to define, develop and implement a strategic vision based in industry and internal data Great communication skills and ability to work effectively on shared projects with both business and technical teams
