The Inventory Planning and Control (IPC) team owns Amazon’s global inventory management systems. We build the systems that decide what, when, where, and how much we should buy to meet Amazon’s business goals and to make our customers happy. We do this for millions of items worth billions of dollars world-wide. Our systems are built entirely in-house, and are on the cutting edge in automated large-scale business, inventory and supply chain planning and optimization systems. We are on the forefront of supply chain thought leadership and work with some of the best research scientists and software developers in the industry. We're looking for a proven Technical Program Manager who can help lead the Buying space to the next level: shaping the roadmap, defining the platform that allows many teams to innovate quickly, and integrating these efforts into a coherent product. · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline; · 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical program management or related function; · Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deliver complex, successful services and/or customer experiences efficiently; · Strong technical foundation with demonstrated willingness and capability to learn new technologies quickly;· Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline. · 3+ plus years of software development and design experience; · Strong technical vision, judgment and an analytical
