But it’s still day 1 and you can be a part of the team that is helping Alexa grow. We are looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented Software Development Engineers who have experience building innovative, mission critical, scalable applications that customers love. As a member of the Alexa Excellence team, You will work across all other Alexa teams to drive innovative solutions around infrastructure scaling and utilization. You will also be responsible for leading the design, implementation and launch of Alexa Excellence operations tools focused on improving developer productivity. As a Sr. SDE in the team, you will have significant influence on our overall strategy. You will collaborate with Alexa teams to identify, understand and resolve challenges around resource utilization.
· 4+ years of professional software development experience · 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design · 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems · · Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability · Development experience defining, developing and maintaining web service API's · Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers
