AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.The mission for Amazon Field Experiences (AFX) team in SMGS is to maximize AWS’s success by delivering industry leading go-to-market tooling that enables AWS Field teams to exceed business outcomes and accelerate AWS cloud adoption. We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded technical program manager to work closely with SMGS leadership, business and technical teams to drive cross-SMGS tooling initiatives that deliver on our strategic goals.
Key job responsibilities
This role is pivotal to the successful creation, implementation and acceleration of AFX strategic initiatives, working across SMGS teams to deliver for customers. The function will own matrixed execution of AFX products and solutions, including coordination of roadmaps across SMGS business units, cross-org opportunity/risks identification and resolution and the establishment of closed loop mechanisms that ensure SMGS leaders and their teams are fully engaged, involved and informed on AFX strategic initiatives from ideation to post-launch.
This role must have excellent communication, collaboration, coordination, and alignment skills, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and resources. This role must also be able to dive deep in understanding customer needs, product/capability design and development, and change management. Strong Bias for Action, Earns Trust, Ownership, and Deliver Results are crucial for success in this position.

Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in technical program, project management, sales or business operations experience.- 5+ years experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and analytics.
- 2+ year experience leading large projects in a matrixed, organization with multiple stakeholders or in a high-growth environment.
- Highly proficient using project management and analytics software (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, Smartsheet, QuickSight)
- Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent years of work experience

- Strong problem solving aptitude, business acumen- Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to synthesize complex ideas into well-constructed documents.
- Extremely proactive; takes personal ownership for producing positive results.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build rapport and establish credibility.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment that requires independent self-direction, excellent time management, strong attention to detail and an aptitude for team collaboration.
- Team player with experience working in an Agile software development process.
- Masters degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
