The Prime Video team is shaping the future of digital video entertainment. Our mission is to offer customers the widest selection of digital video content including Prime Original content and make it trivially easy for them to enjoy it wherever and whenever they want. To help us fulfill this mission, we are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Business Intelligence team for the Prime Video business in the Rest of World (ROW). The team is embedded with marketing and works across Amazon to build the infrastructure used to collect the data needed to analyze customer actions on Prime Video, report standard metrics, evaluate the result of different campaigns and build predictive models to inform future tactics. Prime Video has millions of customers streaming video content and interacting with our campaigns globally. To evaluate the performance of the business and make the best forward looking decisions, we need to store and analyze very large sets of data related to customers’ interaction
· Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering) · 3+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: Data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence or business analytics · 3+ years of hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets · Demonstrable experience in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby) and Excel · Demonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL development, and Data warehousing · Experience with Tableau, Matillion, and AWS services (Redshift, S3, AWS
