Amazon's North America Sort Center team is looking for an experienced and motivated Business Intelligence Engineer with outstanding leadership skills, proven ability to develop, enhance, automate, and manage transportation network models using strong quantitative skills. The successful candidate will have strong data mining and modeling skills and is comfortable facilitating ideation and working from concept through to execution. The position will partner and drive operational excellence with Finance, Engineering, Topology, and Technology, Final mile teams to design and develop data infrastructure and visualizations that move the business forward through better informed decisions even in the absence of clear guidelines. This role will also build tools and support structures needed to analyze data, dive deep into data to determine root cause of operational issues or challenges, drive process improvements, problem solving, build KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and metrics, un-earth opportunities
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Finance, Logistics/Transportation or related industry experience · 3+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational planning/business planning or advanced degree · Able to write SQL scripts for analysis and reporting (Redshift, Oracle, MySQL) · Experience using one or more Python, Java, C++, VBA, Matlab with scripting in PERL, Python, UNIX, VBScript. Proficiency in any data visualizations such as Tableau, Quick sight, R Shiny and advanced skills in in
