The Device and Rights Management Platform team is hiring a Software Development Engineer. The team is responsible for the backend web services, mobile and IoT SDKs, and tools to support Amazon's device portfolio. This includes device management, device content ownership management, device sync management to name a few. Our services are utilized by all Amazon devices such as the Amazon Echo, Fire tablet, Fire TV, Dash Button, Kindle, and more. Our mission is to build a best-in-class services foundation to enable Amazon to scale and be a world-class consumer electronics company. As a Software Development Engineer you will be responsible for: · Working across a broad set of technologies from web services, to mobile app development, to embedded/IoT platforms · Design and development of complex software solutions · Partnering with engineering, product, and business stakeholders across the company to define our engineering strategy and push projects forward · Establish technical standards across
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field · 8+ years of professional software development experience · Experience building web services, distributed systems, and service oriented architecture · Experience with mobile application software development · Experience with networking protocols, wireless networking, and operating systems development · Object-oriented design and programming experience in languages such as Java, C++, or C# · Experience with the full software development lifecycle for a large-scale software product · Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field
