The Office Online team is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to help build new and innovative web-first experiences in authoring, collaboration, communication and more in our online offering or helping us massively scale out our middle-tier and backend service. Your key responsibilities will include the following: • Own and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, and shipping • Work closely with other disciplines (engineers, program managers and designers) to shape the product • Foster a culture of being agile, innovative, team-oriented and customer-focused • Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, be self-directed, and collaborate well with other people
Basic Qualifications: • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience Additional Qualifications: • Development experience in C++, C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript • Experience with JavaScript, CSS, React, HTML5, ASP.Net or other web service technologies (microservices, serverless computing) is a plus but not required • Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills • Outstanding cross-discipline and cross group collaboration skills • Deep passion for customers, design thinking, and data analysis • Proficiency in debugging and diagnosing front end or service health issues
