The Amazon Shipping and Delivery Support organization is looking for a highly analytical, organized self-starter to join Amazon as a Senior Data Engineer on our team. As a Senior Data Engineer on the Shipping and Delivery Support team you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. You should excel in the design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build data sets that answer those questions. Above all you should be passionate about working with huge data sets and someone who loves to bring datasets together to answer business questions and drive change. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions as well as a passion for problem-solving. You will be responsible for understanding the
· Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as math, computer science, engineering, finance, statistics, or equivalent experience · 6+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or in a similar role requiring application of analytic skills to integrate data into operational/business planning · Expertise in SQL, ETL management, and data warehousing plus hands-on experience with different data warehouse and processing technologies such as AWS Redshift, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Hadoop, Spark, etc. · Proficiency in Python or another general-purpose programming language
