Hardlines business intelligence team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to drive our data and insights strategy for Retail. This role is central in shaping the definition and execution of the long-term game plan for Amazon. We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to support a series of new programs to improve the way we think about and manage different aspects of the retail business. This role will have a direct and significant impact on our ability to surprise and delight our customers, drive topline growth, and meet our profitability goals. This position requires excellent statistical and analytical abilities, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions and data engineering practices, and the ability to collaborate with various teams across Amazon. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong attention to detail, and able to collaborate with customers
· Master’s Degree in an engineering or technical field, preferably in Machine Learning, Data Science, Applied Mathematics or related field · 3+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence · Advanced knowledge and expertise with SQL and Excel · Advanced skill in data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight or similar BI tools · Experience in designing and building data infrastructure/automated reporting tools · Familiarity with AWS solutions such as S3, Redshift, Athena · Strong communication and insight presentation skills· Ability to distill problem definitions, models, and constraints
