The Brief We are looking for a creative leader / taste maker who can define, articulate and deliver creative and visual pleasing experiences that empower teams to achieve more together. You'll have the opportunity to shape the creative direction of Microsoft Teams, a new chat-based collaboration app that is changing how people work together. We value creativity, sharing ideas openly, and having fun while we work. Most of all, we're motivated by the desire to create product experiences people and teams love and want to use. You will be responsible for helping articulate and deliver new visual and motion language across a variety of form factors and must be able to communicate your ideas using a wide variety of methods-from sketches to high fidelity designs. You need to have a portfolio demonstrating strong skill in visual composition, typography, color, animation and or motion. Experience managing visual, motion, and interaction designers within an open, inclusive and collaborative environment

Primary responsibilities: Collaborate with lead UX designers to create clear, beautiful, and delightful user interface designs that blend brand personality, visual design, motion design, and sound. Collaborate with developers and product management to specify and implement new visual designs and UI animations with top-notch quality. Contribute to the evolution of the Microsoft Teams design patterns and personality, as a key app in the Office software suite. Work alongside other Office creative directors to help define the future direction of Fluent design. Advocate for your design solutions by
Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience Minimum 10+ years' professional experience in visual design, with an emphasis in user-interface design. Familiarity with common design tools such as Sketch and Adobe Illustrator. A strong portfolio demonstrating sensitivity to typography, color, contrast, and information hierarchy, from broad concepts to tiny details. BA or BFA degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, or related fields. Awareness of trends in communication, collaboration, and user interface design. Familiarity with HTML/CSS a plus.
