Selling Partner Services’ Listing Quality Team owns the systems that ensure items listed on Amazon.com present a world class shopping experience. The Listing Quality team is responsible for providing Selling Partners with visibility into the problems with their products, whether it’s a critical issue that is preventing the item from being live on Amazon.com or a confusing experience that costs the Selling Partner a sale. With Listing Quality there is a direct opportunity to impact the quality of item detail pages that millions of Amazon customers browse each day. We are looking for a Software Development Manager who can lead the Listing Quality team. The ideal candidate should have strong engineering background with management experience. They should have excellent technical competencies in designing large-scale systems as well as excellent process experience in operating large systems. Operational excellence and long-term design are must-haves!
· 5+ years of experience, with at least 2 years managing development teams · Experience in organizing projects and delivering quality releases on schedule · Experience in building and leading development of complex software systems · Good judge of top software engineering talent, and ability to grow their careers · Ability to work well with clients and juggle competing demands, good communication skills · Ability to manage operations and drive excellence in maintaining and supporting critical systems · Experience managing distributed systems · Should be passionate about providing great developer
