Alexa search is part of our ongoing Alexa Information efforts focused on reinventing information extraction and retrieval for a voice-forward, multi-modal future. As a Manager of Software Development, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of innovative solutions within a smart and passionate multi-disciplinary team. · Bachelor's degree in CS or related field · 5+ years leading engineering teams (e.g. hiring, mentoring, managing performance, providing technical leadership and design guidance) · Experience with distributed cloud applications and NoSQL databases · Experience using search technologies (e.g. ElasticSearch) · Experience working in a UNIX environment· Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science or related field · 10+ years of relevant software development and engineering management experience · Experience related to Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Information Retrieval (IR) or Machine Learning
