Come work at Amazon! The Role: Create FPGA solutions for Project Kuiper’s digital solutions for broadband communications via Low Earth Orbit satellites and Amazon gateways. This is a unique opportunity to define a groundbreaking wireless solution with few legacy constraints. The team works with customer requirements and wireless systems teams to define modem, high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, and DSP solutions in latest generation FPGA technologies. In this role you will: · Implement wireless system architecture in silicon from system specification to RTL to system level validation · Be the first to bring up systems combining FPGA, firmware, and RF implementations · Help define and test alternative designs through quick prototyping on FPGA systems · Drive trade-off analysis
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience · 7+ years of experience in wireless systems design FPGA implementation · Experience with high-end 16nm (or lower) FPGA products · Hands on experience with RTL coding, FPGA optimization for timing / power, simulation, and validation · Experience with current and upcoming RF standards in cellular (4G/5G), WiMAX, 802.11ad, microwave backhaul, DVB-S2 / DVB-C, OR similar broadband wireless standards · Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills · Experience with communication theory, OFDM, MIMO,
