Microsoft Research has been studying quantum computing for several years and has become the world's center of expertise on topological quantum computing. The research effort includes a staff of theoretical physicists and experimental teams around the world. The Microsoft Quantum Group in Redmond, WA is looking for an Analog Design Lead to bring novel devices from the lab to volume production. In this role you will be expected to provide technical leadership to a team of analog design engineers. As and RF engineer you will work with a small team of designers and hardware engineers in a dynamic environment, across multiple sites, and will be responsible for all activates ranging from architecture to silicon bring up.

Responsibilities Define resonator topologies and specifications Simulation and characterization of passive RF components Supervise layout and integration Bring up and characterization of RF silicon Lead new device RnD
Requirements MS or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 5+ years in RF Design Familiarity with HFSS and ADS Lab characterization experience including TDR and VNA Deep understanding of conduction theory Experience with resonator and antenna design Strong background in RF layout best practices and DFM Experience with superconductors a plus Excellent Teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills Self-driven, results-oriented individual MICROSOFT BACKGROUND CHECK: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
