The charter of our team is to improve customer experience on the EC2 fleet by analyzing hundreds of signals and driving next-generation detection and remediation tools across the cloud using Machine Learning and Data Analytics. A Data Scientist on this team must be comfortable working with large volumes of data and be able to manipulate data using a variety of tools. The ideal candidate possesses a good knowledge and set of hard skills across both predictive (machine learning) and prescriptive (optimization) analytics. · Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience · 3+ years of industry experience in predictive modeling, data science and analysis · Track record of applying the scientific method to solve problems by forming hypotheses and testing them through well-documented and reproducible experiments · Proficiency in Python, with the ability to write clear, concise, explainable, testable, production-ready code · Demonstrated expertise in more than one data science discipline (statistics/econometrics,
