AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

AWS is seeking a Partner Development Specialist to drive the Go-to-Market (GTM) and enablement of innovative, industry-specific solutions within our partner network focused on the Travel & Hospitality business. In this key role, you will be responsible for deeply understanding the unique needs of industry, mapping partner capabilities, and spearheading the development of the tools, accelerators, and GTM programs that will empower our partners to package and deploy transformative industry-based solutions on AWS.

As the Partner Development Specialist for Industry Solutions, you will be a knowledgeable on both the AWS platform and the dynamics of Travel & Hospitality business. Your mission will be to work cross-functionally with AWS teams to conceptualize, build, and deploy the specialized resources that will enable Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Consulting Partners (CPs), and other key partner types to seamlessly create and go-to-market with differentiated industry solutions. The ideal candidate will possess the business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, the channel experience to understand the needs and capabilities of their partner, and the sales background needed to easily interact with customers and sales/field reps. This role requires a strategic, consultative, and customer-centric mindset to drive the successful adoption of AWS partner solutions in the Travel & Hospitality market. The ideal candidate will have industry expertise and a proven track record of partner channel development and solution go-to-market execution.

Key job responsibilities

• Identify high-potential AWS partners with solutions relevant to the Travel & Hospitality industry vertical

• Provide tools and guidance to partners and assist them with integrating their solutions with AWS services and platforms

• Work closely with partners to build go-to-market strategies and enable AWS and partner sales teams to effectively position and sell their solutions

• Develop and execute joint marketing campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of partner solutions among Travel & Hospitality customers

• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the Travel & Hospitality industry including IT leaders, business decision makers, and industry associations

• Monitor partner solution performance and provide feedback/guidance to drive continuous improvement

• Collaborate cross-functionally with AWS sales, solutions architecture, and marketing teams to ensure seamless partner and customer experiences

• Stay up-to-date on trends, technologies, and competitive dynamics in the Travel & Hospitality industry to identify new partner and customer opportunities

• Set a strategic business development plan for target market segments and ensure it is in-line with the AWS strategic direction

• Engage the AWS sales organization, channels, and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS



Qualifications

- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Proven experience driving revenue



Extended Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience within the Travel & Hospitality industry and ability to speak the language of the customer

- Solid understanding of the AWS Partner Network and experience working with AWS solutions and services

- Understanding of the AWS services, technologies, and Amazon Businesses, and how to leverage them to solve customer problems

- Experience in solution selling, new business model development, and demonstrating prior solution and program successes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
