The Prototype Security team is searching for a Security Compliance Specialist for its Contract Manufacturer and 3rd Party audit program. The key responsibilities of the role include conducting audits and inspections at Final Assembly, Test and Packaging(FATP)/Contract Manufacturing(CM) sites, distribution centers, transit lanes and additional third-party supplier locations where Amazon product is manufactured, moved, stored and disposed. Security management system audits are carried out according to Amazon’s internal standards. This position will monitor the compliance with contractual requirements, assess the effectiveness of the implementation, and provide general support to the site security personnel at the vendor service providers.

This role will interact with stakeholders and various partners on a regular basis and may handle confidential information, and so requires high level of integrity, professionalism, and strong customer service skills. Additionally, this position will provide program security support to all consumer electronic devices prior to release to the general public and will support the overall security posture for the device’s division.

This role will be primarily focused in North America, with partial support for APAC business activities. The position will report to the Prototype Security Compliance Manager.

Key job responsibilities

- Ensure audits and inspections are carried out to the Amazon’s security standard.

- Perform Supply Chain Security audits based on Amazon’s security standard.

- Contact manufacturing locations and suppliers to arrange audits and/or on-site risk assessments.

- Prepare for the audit. (i.e. gathering relevant information, sending out pre-audit questionnaires and audit plan)

- Carry out virtual/on-site audits and evaluate FATP/CM sites, distribution centers, transit lanes and additional third-party supplier locations.

- Conduct on-site inspections and confirmations on the physical existence of prototype devices inventory and other ready-to-scrap materials for both manual and automated systems

- Identify deviations and flaws in the prototype security management process

- Generate and issue audit reports and findings of irregularities, discrepancies and deviations from prescribed procedures in a timely manner

- Identify opportunities for security improvement and other efficient utilization of resources to establish prototype security objectives

- Carry out follow up audits, feedback and reviews as per established standards

- Ensure corrective actions are closed out or completed

- Support manufacturing location personnel with security issues and audits

- Assist with training of manufacturing location personnel as required

- Assist in ad-hoc prototype security projects and/or investigation

- Other duties as required.



Qualifications

- Domestic and international travel will be required. (25-50% of time).

Extended Qualifications

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from an accredited university or 8+ years in brand protection activities, security/fraud investigation/manufacturing field and/or proven experience in global retail product launches.

- Lead/Supplier Auditor certification or professional qualification.

- Previous experience of manufacturing audits against international management systems, security, or Intellectual Property protection standards

- Previous experience in prototype/tooling/component destruction handling.

- Ability to interface with large groups and audiences and effectively present material.

- Ability to function in a fast paced, innovative environment.

- Experience in multinational companies and/or international working experience.

- Professional exposure to the consumer electronics industry.

- TAPA, ASIS, CFE or other professional security organization qualification or memberships.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $67,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
