Description

As a Sr. Program Manager, you'll lead efforts to improve the workplace environment for employees by developing and executing strategies. You'll work with various teams and stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly from pilot to full launch, setting key performance indicators (KPIs), managing timelines, and driving continuous improvement.

You’ll manage complex programs, delivering solutions that meet business goals and improve employee efficiency, customer experience, or compliance. You’ll oversee the entire program lifecycle, align with business needs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You'll influence priorities using data-driven insights and ensure the right resources are allocated for successful outcomes. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll work with leaders across all levels to resolve issues and build consensus.

Key job responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead end-to-end project management for in-building deployment initiatives, ensuring successful execution within defined timelines and budgets.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering teams, operations, and vendor partners to drive project milestones and deliverables.

• Procurement Management: Coordinate procurement activities, contract negotiations, and ongoing performance evaluation to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project requirements.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for in-building deployment.

• KPI Definition and Monitoring: Define objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and success measures to guide project implementation and monitor progress.

• Communication: Effectively communicate project updates, status reports, and key milestones to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with leadership teams to provide visibility into project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.

• Continuous Improvement: Develop a deep understanding of in-building deployment technologies and methodologies, stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in the field, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovative solutions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program/project management, preferably within a large-scale operations environment.

- Experience in procurement, architecture or design, and working with cross-functional teams is highly desirable.

- Project management skills with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.

- Communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating effectively with diverse teams.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience defining and measuring KPIs.

- Knowledge of procurement processes and contract negotiations.

- Experience managing multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).



Extended Qualifications

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

- PMP Certification or familiarity with continuous improvement, project management principles, and/or Kaizen Six Sigma

- Program Management Professional (PgMP): Also by PMI, this certification is more specialized for program managers handling complex, multi-project programs.

- Agile/Scrum Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other Agile-related certifications may be valuable in industries using Agile methodologies.

- Proficiency in project management software, Adobe creative suite of products and Asana

- Experience building dashboards to track KPIs, using data and metrics to drive improvements and identify meaningful observations

- Experience communicating to a frontline workforce

- Background in any of the following: Operations, Design, or Deployment

- Creativity and curiosity, with a solutions-based mentality.

- Self-motivation and experience working autonomously.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and manage relationships.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
