Description

The Design for Scale (DfS) team is a service organization that supports the development of automation solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations for reliability, cost, performance and serviceability.

The Configuration Management Analyst will be embedded in the DfS team, responsible for managing the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) product specific business cases for the broader Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging (MSP) organization.

Key job responsibilities

-Organizing Change Control Board (CCB) meetings across the MSP organization

-Managing the execution of PPAP, MCOs, Deviations, ECOs, BOM structure, item creation fields, and approval groups for all MSP products

-Enforcing best practices as they pertain to product configuration control processes, specifications, product BOMs, process documentation, milestones, schedules, and dependencies

-Addressing cross-functional customer problems with change execution services. User base includes internal/external groups in the product engineering, design, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management fields

-Contributing to the definition of PLM metrics

-Guiding customers on proper use of PLM service changes, teaching best practices, and assisting with the troubleshooting of common implementation problems

-Providing high-quality technical support with clear and concise written and verbal communication to users of experience levels from novice to expert

- Contributions to process and training documentation

- Collaborating with the Business Application team to provide recommendations for product improvements or enhancements.

-Ensuring accurate and efficient PLM management of product information, including regular auditing to ensure compliance.

-Staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to NPI PLM, and incorporate relevant advancements into the organization's processes and strategies.

-Working closely with Product Development and Quality teams to implement continuous improvement to the change management life-cycle

A day in the life

As a Configuration Management Analyst in the DfS organization, you will be responsible for the business onboarding and application of Teamcenter PLM across the MSP product portfolio. You will help develop the PLM business processes and manage product design and configurations throughout the product life cycle. You will be responsible to support creation and execution of PLM tasks which require cross functional communication across a globally dispersed team. You will establish and promote best practices and enforce internal business processes for PLM change management.



Qualifications

- 4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience

- Experience scripting in modern program languages

- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

- Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow

- Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings



Extended Qualifications

- Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications

- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system

- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $182,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
