Description

Amazon continues to invent with AI to build world-class products, services and experiences across every part of its business. We are seeking a high-judgment communications professional to join our team. As PR Manager for Amazon AI, you’ll work across Amazon communications – including Devices & Services, Prime Video, Stores, and more – to help source and tell stories on the ways Amazon is using generative AI to transform customer experiences. You will help us showcase the breadth and depth of our generative AI investments and innovations, and increase the quantity and quality of stories we can tell through our campaign that drives coordinated, multi-channel, company-wide AI storytelling.

The ideal candidate will be able to earn trust and establish strong rapport with senior business leaders, scientists, and communications colleagues across Amazon and AWS. The candidate will also have experience working across diverse businesses and teams; have a strong understanding of how to leverage earned, owned, paid and social media to scale impact; and have experience working to high standards under tight deadlines across broad teams. Being flexible in managing ambiguity as priorities change will be key.

You will also have a deep understanding of generative AI topics and trends, eager to cultivate fresh story ideas, possess excellent writing skills, and be adept at translating complex technology concepts into broadly digestible stories.

This role is part of the cross-company AI Communications team within Amazon’s Communications & Corporate Responsibility (CCR) team.



Qualifications

- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames

- Self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit—enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen

- Knowledgeable about digital communications and content trends and able to apply these insights to their work

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
