Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) Migration team working with US Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) Customers and Partners who are migrating and modernizing workloads to AWS.In this role ,you will be driving customer and partner engagement for migrating and modernizing existing workloads to AWS, including helping customers unlock new capabilities through 1-Step AI Modernization. You will have an exciting opportunity to shape engagements with US HCLS organizations through the delivery of the Migration Acceleration Program and by leveraging other programs. You will be responsible for engaging customers and partners while working with AWS field teams to develop large cloud migration and modernization engagements, including AI modernization use cases that unlock new capabilities and accelerate innovation on AWS. You must be effective at working with customers to articulate the business opportunity for migration and modernization, navigate tooling and methodologies that reduce risk, and accelerate customer outcomes. You will identify use cases, patterns, and best practice sacross engagements to inform and develop go-to-market motions that scale migrations with partners and field teams. You should be comfortable working with cross-functional global teams in dynamic organizations, as the program will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS, including sales, business development, solutions architecture, partner sales, professional services, compliance, product, sales operations, and other related teams.
The ideal candidate will bring both technical delivery and business development skills to this position. They will have experience working with government and/or enterprise customers on large-scale cloud migration and modernization projects. As AI workloads and agentic technology become increasingly part of engagement scope and delivery, the candidate should bring awareness of how these workloads fit within migration and modernization strategies and demonstrate a clear commitment to building that expertise. The ideal candidate will draw upon exemplary technical and program management skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable solutions on AWS. The candidate should be open to new challenges, effective at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed, and a strong team player. Candidates should drive continuous process improvement and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and software development teams to solve problems and implement new solutions. The Migration Technical Business Development Manager will interact with a broad cross-section of Amazon Web Services spanning a wide range of technologies to meet specific customer requirements. This requires a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong technical understanding to provide confidence to customers and answer their questions, the ability to help customers crystallize business benefits of their migrations, a solid understanding of cloud solutions, and a passion for helping customers transform using cloud technologies.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.
Key job responsibilities
• Meet regularly with customer application owners and development teams to determine workload development/transition status, identify and remove blockers, and develop plans for migration and modernization, including AI driven workload transformation and 1 Step AI Modernization pathways.
• Work backwards from helping customers and partners achieve business outcomes, deliver migration and modernization business cases, and support our account teams and other regional business development teams in driving new commitments for migration and modernization to the AWS cloud.
• Identify opportunities to build compelling proposals to help customers achieve business value from migrations, including AI modernization use cases that unlock new capabilities and accelerate innovation on AWS.
• Provide the path forward for customers to build migration plans and business cases, and ensure clarity on AWS’s value proposition(s) for the customer as they move their workloads to AWS.
• Collaborate with the technical and industry teams to drive consistent outcomes for customers across customer engagements.
• Build and develop mechanisms to automate and scale the migration and modernization business across the HCLS vertical utilizing AI and agentic tools.
• Capture results and improvement opportunities. Periodically present progress to executive leadership.
• Conduct customer briefings, present at customer events, further AWS thought leadership in the IT transformation domain.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience- 6+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
- Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
- 5 years of experience in customer facing roles leading large scale transformation programs or extensive customer engagements.
- 3 years of experience developing, implementing, managing and executing field programs.
Extended Qualifications
- Meets or exceeds Amazon’s functional technical depth and complexity for this role & AWS GenAI Practitioner certification or willingness to obtain.- Master's degree in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent, or MBA
- 10+ years of experience in technology transformation, with more recent experiences in cloud-led technology change program(s) in leadership capacity.
- Experience with Public Sector organizations (Government, Education, Non-Profit, and/or Healthcare).
- Strong understanding of Mandates, Security, Standards and Compliance for government customers operating in a multi-tenant infrastructure/platform as a service environment.
- Familiarity with web services, multi-tiered systems, workflow modeling and enterprise application integration ·

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
