The Amazon WWGS (Worldwide Grocery Stores) team is seeking an exceptionally motivated and talented Sr. Merchandising Manager with strong customer focus, analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

The Sr. Merchandising Manager, Food, is the single-threaded leader for all food merchandising across Amazon Grocery stores. This role owns the end-to-end merchandising strategy for the Food department, from space allocation through planogram execution on the shelf. You will drive how food products are presented, organized, and experienced by customers in our physical stores, directly impacting sales performance and the in-store customer experience.

This role reports to the Manager of Merchandising and partners cross-functionally with Category, Supply Chain, Store Operations, and Technology teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Space Strategy and Floor Planning You will own the space strategy for Food, determining how square footage is allocated across food categories to maximize sales and the customer experience. You will develop and maintain floor plans that reflect assortment priorities, seasonal shifts, and business objectives.

• Planogram Development and Execution You will build and maintain planograms that dictate product placement at the shelf level. You will ensure planograms are accurate, executable, and aligned to category strategy. You will own the feedback loop between what is planned and what is executed in-store.

• Fixture Management You will select, place, and manage all fixtures within the Food department, including shelving, endcaps, coolers, and promotional displays. You will partner with store design and operations to ensure fixtures support the merchandising strategy and are maintained to standard.

• Store Execution and Transition Management You will plan and lead all merchandising transitions and resets within Food, ensuring store teams have clear direction, accurate materials, and realistic timelines. You will monitor execution quality and address gaps in real time.

• Cross-Functional Partnership and Change Management You will serve as the Merchandising voice in cross-functional forums, including pre-launch reviews for technology and operational changes that affect the Food department. You will ask questions, raise concerns, and pressure-test changes before they reach the store floor. You will monitor impact post-launch and escalate disruption to store teams or customers.

• Performance Monitoring You will track how merchandising decisions impact sales, inventory, and the customer experience at the department and category level. You will use data to inform space allocation, product placement, and fixture decisions, and adjust plans based on what the data shows.
