Project Kuiper is Amazon’s initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit communications satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to under-served communities around the earth.The Supply Chain and Intellectual Property Security (SCIPS) team is looking for a detailed oriented, results-driven, customer-centric, Inventory Accountability Specialist with experience in pre-production development and manufacturing of semiconductor integrated circuit (IC) chips and fully assembled devices. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of all phases of the end-to-end semiconductor IC and device product lifecycle, development methodologies and manufacturing flows/dependencies/cycle-times. They combine hands on experience in a manufacturing environment, extensive knowledge on inventory management, program management, and understand product/material movement throughout the supply chain.
The successful candidate will be able to lead aligning both external vendor teams and internal stakeholders in complex program plans for on-time development and deployment. The Inventory Accountability Specialist, will be responsible for identifying and executing mitigations to combat schedule risks, ensure quality specification adherence, and provide status reporting and project health metrics. To be successful you are a proactive owner who is comfortable operating independently. You are passionate about semiconductors, NPI, inventory tracking, and Kuiper’s prospective customer and societal impact. You are excited by solving difficult challenges and contributing to launching a space-craft and user terminal network that meet performance, quality, and availability objectives.
Key job responsibilities

Inventory Control & Management
* Execute inventory control procedures for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass-Production (MP), including raw goods, finished goods, MRB, and scrap
* Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and records
* Monitor real-time inventory levels across multiple locations and product lines
Security & Compliance:
* Track and document compliance at Amazon Kuiper Facilities and 3rd Party locations throughout the manufacturing lifecycle
* Support the development and implementation of security standards for prototype management
* Ensure adherence to export control regulations and compliance requirements
Program Management & Reporting:
* Support cross-functional teams in forecasting demand for critical components
* Monitor and report on inventory metrics and trends
* Identify and execute mitigations to combat schedule risks
Stakeholder Management:
* Partner with internal teams (Legal, Hardware, Supply Chain Ops, Trade & Compliance) and external vendors
* Coordinate with contract manufacturers and critical suppliers worldwide
* Maintain effective communication channels with global team members
About the team
The Kuiper Security Team is responsible for protecting critical assets and intellectual property throughout Kuiper's development and manufacturing processes. As part of Amazon's broader Devices and Services division, we implement security solutions for one of Amazon's most innovative initiatives, such as Project Kuiper.
Our team operates at the intersection of space technology, hardware security, and supply chain management, working closely with hardware engineers, product teams, and operations personnel to ensure the security and integrity of our satellite and ground station components. We implement robust control systems and processes that maintain Kuiper's security and compliance standards while supporting the program's ambitious manufacturing and deployment goals.

Qualifications
* 5+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience* 5+ years experience in inventory management in the consumer products and/or semiconductor area
* Proven experience in brand protection and intellectual property protection
* Experience leading and conducting audit programs
* Ability to work on-site and in an office location with 20-40% domestic travel and 20% international travel
* Experience with inventory control systems and ERP platforms
* Demonstrated experience in supply chain operations and logistics
Extended Qualifications
* Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process* Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines
* Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
* Proficiency in inventory management software and tools (SAP, Oracle)
* Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes and NPI workflows
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to inventory management
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation capabilities
* Experience in prototype security and handling of sensitive intellectual property
* Demonstrated project management skills with focus on risk mitigation
* Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing third-party relationships
* Certification in inventory management, supply chain, or related field
* Knowledge of export control regulations and compliance requirements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $67,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
