If so, the Global Accounts Receivable (GAR) Finance Operations team wants you to lead the next evolution of Cash Application and process automation at Amazon.The Global Accounts Receivable (GAR) team is seeking strategic and hands-on Senior Manager to lead our global Cash Application function and drive automation across the Order-to-Cash (O2C) ecosystem. This role, within Amazon Finance Operations, owns cash application governance and policies across Amazon's diverse business channels β including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Business, Advertising, Transportation, and others β and serves as the central leader accountable for transforming manual processes into intelligent, scalable solutions through AI, agentic technologies, and emerging automation platforms.
This leader will manage a direct team of six professionals and hold matrix responsibility over a global organization of analysts and managers spanning 6 support centers worldwide. The Senior Manager will partner closely with FinTech and other tech teams to drive process automation, collaborate with Treasury and PMO to support new business launches, and serve as the enterprise automation champion β identifying and executing opportunities to eliminate manual work, reduce cycle time, and improve accuracy across Cash Application and adjacent O2C functions.
As the candidate matures into the role, scope will expand beyond Cash Application to encompass automation improvements across the broader GAR landscape β making this a career-defining opportunity for a leader who wants to shape how Amazon applies AI and intelligent automation to global finance operations.
This individual must combine strategic vision with operational depth β capable of defining a multi-year automation roadmap while simultaneously resolving day-to-day operational challenges. They will partner with technology teams to evaluate and deploy agentic AI solutions, design workflows that reduce human touches, and build a culture of continuous improvement across a geographically distributed organization.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead Global Cash Application Operations: Own end-to-end cash application performance across all Amazon business channels (AWS, Amazon Business, Advertising, Transportation, others) and 6 global support centers β ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
- Drive AI and Automation Strategy: Define and execute a multi-year roadmap using AI, machine learning, agentic solutions, and RPA to reduce human touches, improve first-pass yield, and increase straight-through processing. Partner with FinTech to prioritize and deploy solutions that eliminate operational pain points. Expand proven automation patterns to adjacent O2C functions.
- Support New Business and Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with Treasury, PMO, Tax, Legal, and business channel finance teams to ensure cash application readiness for new product, market, and system-of-record launches. Serve as primary cross-functional contact, aligning priorities and driving shared outcomes.
- Build and Develop a High-Performing Team: Lead 6 direct reports and provide strategic direction to a matrixed global organization of analysts and managers across 6 support centers.
- Establish Global Standards and Operational Excellence: Design standardized procedures, controls, KPIs, SLAs, and governance frameworks to measure performance, automation adoption, and process improvement impact across all channels and sites.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 5+ years of Accounts Receivable, Account Payable, Treasury or Payments experience
Extended Qualifications
- 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
- 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
- MBA, or CPA

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
