The Role:
As a Senior Digital RF Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative product solutions. You will work closely with internal inter-disciplinary teams, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, design, validation and optimization. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
As a senior member of the Digital RF Systems team, you will be responsible for architecture, simulation, and End to End implementation, validation and performance optimization of phased arrays beamforming systems. Based on system level constraints, you will develop a solution supporting high throughput, low power, highly configurable, and optimized for RF system constraints
In this role you will:
路Design and validate Digital Signal Processing algorithms
路 Optimize RF transceivers behavioral model and carry out RF line-up performance trade analysis
路 Develop and optimize impairments compensation and system calibration methods for phased array systems
. Simulate and validate digital beam forming implementations, algorithm and architectures with model, FPGA prototype and Silicon
. Develop detailed test plans and test procedures for validation and characterization of RF Wireless SOC performance
. Develop automation of test procedures with instrument control
. Meet with vendors and technology suppliers to select technologies for testing and instrumentation
. Debug issues and optimize conducted and OTA throughputs performances collaboratively with communications systems and implementation teams (FPGA, ASIC, SW) for both pre and post silicon validation
. Bring up and test digital functionality using embedded FW
. Characterize high speed SERDES and RF parameters of Amazon鈥檚 custom silicon
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Qualifications
路 Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience路 7+ years of experience in testing or design of RF or HW or Digital signal Processing algorithms
Extended Qualifications
路 Master鈥檚 / PhD degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or related field路 MATLAB, Python experience with emphasis on test automation, instrument control and data management
. Bit accurate matching of RTL modules
. Analog Mixed Signal co-simulation experience
. Experience with VNA, spectrum analyzer, high speed scopes and logic analyzer
. Background in Communication Theory, OFDM, MIMO, Digital/Wireless Communication Systems and engineering
. Experience in planning for key deliverables and milestones

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
