Description

The Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) organization is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, designed to offer AWS Customers access to commercial benefits in exchange for multi-year spend commitments. Private Pricing offers AWS customers the opportunity to accelerate their cloud transformation journeys through multi-year relationships with AWS, delivering maximal value to customers in terms of pricing, access to services, and opportunities to innovate.

GDSP is seeking a Deal Team Manager to join Private Pricing Operations to lead a team of builders in developing and executing a first of kind capability to drive scale of private pricing opportunities through closure.

For Amazon, Private Pricing drives more extensive, deeper, and longer-lasting relationships with customers. Private Pricing is poised to grow both revenue and margin by expanding access to Private Pricing and by expanding the value proposition of AWS for Private Pricing customers.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of high performance builders across multiple locations executing at scale.

• Analyze deal constructs to simplify complex scenarios into scalable solutions.

• Engage with internal stakeholders to define and communicate streamlined deal workflows and build consensus.

• Leverage data analytics on trends to identify areas for improvement, propose solutions to senior and cross-functional leadership, and implement solutions.

• Interface with AWS sellers to drive deal requests to closure.

• Own multiple projects autonomously, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, driving programs from ideation through implementation.

• Identify and influence key partners including tech, product, finance, legal, and operations.

• Establish regular cadence of business reporting and mechanisms (e.g. weekly business reviews)

• Establish mechanisms and procedures to drive scale and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• 8+ years of leading a team focused on driving scale of business initiatives including managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

• 8+ years of professional or military leadership experience

• 5+ years of experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions by leveraging insights from diverse and complex datasets (making sense of data to surface actionable priorities)



Extended Qualifications

• Knowledge of the cloud market and AWS

• Experience working in B2B sales organizations

• Experience managing deals autonomously at scale

• Proven ability to drive automation.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $242,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
