The Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) team is looking for an experienced systems development engineer for building a new service offering. You would be among the first engineers as part of the new team that will build a new service. This is a great opportunity for you to interact directly with customers and influence in defining and building a new service and improving customer experience by reducing the number of customer contacts, the time to resolution for customer issues. We aim to accomplish this by improving tools, documentation, and processes. We do this both internally and externally. · BS in Computer science or related field · 2+ years experience building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments. · 3+ years experience with Linux, *NIX or Windows system administration. · Excellent troubleshooting skills. · Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language. · Knowledge of modern Internet networking architecture and protocols. · Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.· MS in Computer Science or related field 3+ years experience building scripts, tooling, and automation to support large scale computing
