This stress analyst has a successful background in spacecraft development, and is a domain expert in stress and loads analysis. The ideal candidate has a history of supporting spacecraft structural architecture trades, working with a multidisciplinary team to define optimal vehicle configurations for mission performance, reliability, mass, cost. Responsibilities: · Primary and secondary structure analysis for spacecraft and subsystems

· 5+ years of experience in the design and analysis of spacecraft structures · BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Material Sciences, or equivalent experience · Domain expert and demonstrated proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with commercial tools such as ANSYS, Nastran, FEMAP or Abaqus · Stress analysis of metallic and/or composite structures · Dynamic analysis (random vibration, shock, explicit analysis, coupled loads) · 5+ years of experience in structural testing and validation/qualification · Background in structural dynamics (shock, modal, transient, and random
