The Team: The Personalization Team is responsible for features such as “Customers who bought this item also bought” (aka “Similarities”), as well as personalized recommendations that you find throughout the Amazon.com site. Our features are used by millions of customers each day to discover new products. We are working with exciting new technologies and solving complex problems across multiple browsers, platforms and mobile devices, data quality, and data sets from machine-learning systems. The Role: Amazon’s Personalization Team is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to test new cutting edge technology and to push the boundaries on quality for the portfolio of features in P13N. As a SDET, you will help tackle a variety of technical challenges. You will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build tools, test frameworks and test solutions to test systems in partnership with other technology leaders
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. · 5+ years of experience in software development/testing · Fluency in one or more of: Java, C, C++; and familiarity with one or more of: Python, Perl, PHP. · Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis. The ability to produce bullet-proof code that is fault-tolerant, efficient and maintainable. · Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling.· Experience with designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment
