Domain names are the unique building blocks that make up a global online presence on the Internet, playing an enormous part in how companies and organizations are recognized. They are regarded as Intellectual Property assets and represent a tremendous amount of value. At Microsoft, the strategy for managing our websites and protecting our online presence becomes increasingly important as we invest in building online products and service offerings. Microsoft's Corporate Domains team is the centralized service for all aspects of domain name management across the Company, providing effective partner communication channels and deep subject matter expertise to ensure Microsoft's domains are compliant and correctly configured.

Role and Responsibilities: • Design and implement a scalable, monitored domain name and DNS management architecture • Design and implement an automated domain name portfolio framework and dashboard to manage aspects of site ownership, URL redirection, and live site performance • Build and apply analytics models to produce new insights, manage risks, identify opportunities for process optimization, and identify leading indicators of process variations • Build an API that encapsulates access to multiple types of data sources that is easily understood and used by developers • Create a domain name
Skills and Qualifications: • Solid understanding and experience with .NET application: • ASP.NET Web Applications • Windows Services • C# • Entity Framework • Javascript/JQuery • AJAX • Linq • Threading • MVVM • MVC • Web API • HTML • CSS selectors • Consumption of 3rd party APIs via HTTP request/response • Strong skills and recent relevant experience using Microsoft Azure to manage cloud services: • Azure SQL • Active Directory/Access and Security • Cloud Service web/worker development • Resource utilization, demand and availability management • Working knowledge of DNS • Experience managing source
