Compliance (ERMC) team Software Development Engineer
As a Software Development Engineer on the Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance (ERMC) team, you will be working in an agile environment solving enterprise level technical challenges and delivering innovation solutions. ERMC drives company-wide priorities and goals for addressing enterprise-wide risks and to monitor business compliance programs. For areas where global coordination is required to manage risk, ERMC 1) establishes company-wide policies and requirements, 2) manages and oversees programs to mitigate risks, 3) monitors business compliance with requirements, and 4) reports testing results to Amazon senior leadership. This role is focused on Denied Party Screening program owned by ERMC. ERMC Tech is developing solutions to automate detection, blocking and reporting of transactions with Denied Parties. As a SDE you play a critical role in delivering the ERMC Product Roadmap. As a SDE with ERMC Tech Team, you will work with talented peers of SDEs in sister organizations to build
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline · 3+ years’ full-time experience in software design and development · Proficiency with at least one Object Oriented language (e.g. Java, Python) · A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects · Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers · Experience with building high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems · A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly and get things done · MS in Computer
