In the Distributed Machine Learning team within Alexa AI, we build systems to accelerate the pace of innovation in these fields. The team is building distributed, secure, GPU-accelerated infrastructure used by Amazon research scientists working on Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU). Our massively parallel computing platform drives rapid and safe experimentation in the development of new features and models. We are in need of a Software Development Engineer with a strong sense of ownership and high quality bar to join us in this exciting new technology space! · BS in Computer Science or equivalent. · 2+ years of industry experience. · Programming experience in C++, Java, and/or Python in Linux and/or Windows environment. · Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.· MS in Computer Science · Passion for building highly secure systems working with sensitive data · Experience analyzing and implementing security requirements, leveraging encryption, secure communication protocols, and network controls · Experience building applications in AWS · Experience with Machine Learning
