We are looking for an Applied Machine Learning Scientist with strong analytical and developer skills to join our expanding team. You will encounter a wide variety of data types, from retail and financial transactions to machine telemetry, free text, images and video. Working alongside world-class software engineers and architects, you will be using the best of breed internal and open source tools to analyze data, build models, and put those into production. Developing and deploying solutions with Microsoft Partners for solving business problems using machine (deep) learning and predictive modeling techniques; End-to-end execution of the data science process, from understanding business requirements, data discovery and extraction, model development and evaluation, to production pipeline implementation. Providing technical subject matter expertise in OSS and Microsoft big data technologies, to develop technical content in support of developer events, support architecture design sessions, and unblocking critical scenarios for our partners.
MS or PhD in Computer Science, EE, Statistics, Operations Research or equivalent technical field. 3+ years of real-world experience with machine learning algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, reinforcement learning, with expertise in one or more application domains of natural language processing, information retrieval, image processing, time series analysis. Skilled in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Numpy, ...), and at least one major programming language such as C#. Experience with application development practices and version control systems.
