Perimeter Protection team AWS Perimeter Protection
The AWS Perimeter Protection team protects customers of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon retail by providing tools to detect and filter malicious web requests. In 2016, we launched AWS Shield, a groundbreaking external service offering Advanced DDoS protection and mitigation to customers using AWS. In 2017, we extended this service to cover Elastic Compute, and supported the 2018 launch of AWS Global Accelerator. Moving forward, we are continuing to add new detection capabilities and a broader surface area. In addition to developing technology to mitigate network-layer DDoS attacks against Amazon and its customers, we also protect the application layer via AWS WAF, a web application firewall, and AWS Firewall Manager, a service to combine multiple security profiles into a single management view. We are expanding rapidly and are looking for highly talented, motivated and innovative team players who are capable of operating in a fast paced environment. We believe this service will grow
· A BS in Computer Science or related field, and 3+ years of equivalent engineering work experience · Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java or C++, including object-oriented design · 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems · 1+ years of experience working in Linux based environments· Experience handling live customer security incidents · Knowledge of additional high level languages, e.g. Python, Java/C/C++, Perl · Customer obsession · Strong ownership of
