The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Perimeter Protection team defends customers of AWS and Amazon.com against DDoS attacks and web application threats. Customers rely on our three public services: AWS WAF, AWS Shield, and AWS Firewall Manager to protect application availability across their organization, so that they can focus on their business. We’ve created remarkable technology to monitor and defend one of the largest distributed networks in the world, but it is still only Day 1. At AWS, you’ll have the opportunity to raise the bar, developing new systems that automatically defend against evolving threats while providing customer-facing, centralized management and visibility. We build everything from low level packet inspection hardware/software to customer-facing AWS services to globally distributed systems capable of mitigating world’s largest attacks. · Bachelor's Degree, or 4+ years relevant work experience · 2+ years of software development experience, programming in Java, Python, or C/C++ · 2+ years of object-oriented design or object-oriented programming experience· Experience working in Linux based environments · Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. · Experience working on large-scale, highly available, low latency, high quality systems · Technical experience in networking or web application security · Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team · A passion for delighting customers
