Systems Intelligence gathers data from Amazon's internal systems and software development tools to answer key questions regarding the productivity of our development teams and internal systems. We use identify bottlenecks and gain insights about risks to software delivery, and build tools to directly address these issues. As a Data Engineer on the Systems Intelligence Team, you will build the next generation of tools and systems that help make Amazon Development teams more productive. Data is the core of what we do. You will work with fellow scientists and engineers to develop scalable and innovative solutions that enable Amazon to gain insights about development velocity and identify friction points between teams. You will be responsible for designing systems that leverage cutting edge proprietary and open source data management technologies. You should be an expert in the architecture of Data Warehouse solutions for the Enterprise using multiple platforms, and excel in the design, creation,
* Strong customer obsession, ownership, insistence on the highest standards, and bias for action * Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 2+ years industry experience * Demonstrated strength in data modeling and data warehouse development * Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Java, etc.) * Familiarity with concepts around testing upstream and downstream datasets * Familiarity with concepts around monitoring and alarming with respect to data pipelines * Collaborate with other tech teams to implement advanced analytics algorithms
