Microsoft Threat Intelligence is looking for an experienced security research and threat intelligence leader to join our team in Israel.

In this role, you will lead a team of highly skilled threat intelligence analysts while remaining deeply engaged in the intelligence mission. You will combine strong technical and analytical expertise with people leadership, helping the team understand and anticipate sophisticated threat actors, prioritize investigations, identify intelligence gaps, and deliver high-impact intelligence outcomes.

Our management model emphasizes analytic leadership. Managers are expected to lead through expertise, vision, trust, and shared accountability, with people-management activities supporting the work rather than becoming the primary focus of the role.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of threat intelligence analysts.

Provide analytical and technical leadership across threat actor tracking and investigations.

Drive high-quality threat intelligence outcomes by helping the team prioritize investigations, intelligence requirements, gaps, and emerging threats.

Maintain strong awareness of the threat landscape and help the team anticipate changes in adversary behavior, tradecraft, and targeting.

Guide analysts through investigation reviews, analytical discussions, and feedback on intelligence products and deliverables.

Ensure clarity of priorities and accountability for high-quality analytical outputs.

Identify blockers, capability gaps, and opportunities to improve the team's effectiveness and threat coverage.

Partner across Microsoft security organizations and with relevant technical, intelligence, product, and leadership stakeholders.

Coach and develop team members through day-to-day analytical work, feedback, and career development.

Foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

You have 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity research, threat intelligence or a related security research discipline. 3+ years of experience managing and developing security researchers, threat intelligence analysts, or other cybersecurity professionals.

Strong understanding of sophisticated cyber threat actors, their tactics, techniques, procedures, and operational behaviors.

Experience conducting or leading complex security investigations and translating technical findings into actionable intelligence.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hebrew, with the ability to communicate effectively with both deeply technical audiences and senior stakeholders.

Ability to collaborate across organizational and geographic boundaries.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep expertise in nation-state or other advanced threat actor research.

Experience with large-scale/cloud security telemetry and data-driven threat investigation.

Experience translating threat intelligence into security, product, customer, or strategic outcomes.

Experience working across global, distributed teams.

Demonstrated ability to influence across teams without relying on direct authority.

Strong analytical judgment and the ability to make prioritization decisions in a dynamic threat environment.

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
