Team Xbox is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to drive execution of a complex, high visibility, innovative and critical program which is key to the future of our Gaming ambitions. This is a rare career opportunity to be a key driver and contributor to one of the most significant bets in the Gaming business. As an individual contributor reporting directly to the VP, Next Generation, you will lead a complex, cross company virtual team across hardware, core OS, game development platform and tools, end user experience, content portfolio, and business and marketing. You will be directly responsible for the day to day execution, coordination, and communication for the program across a large group of stakeholders, including providing periodic updates to senior leaders in the gaming organization.The optimal candidates will have a solid track record of running complex, cross functional virtual teams, notable organization and communication skills, and prior experience bringing new hardware, software and content to market. Responsibilities
Be at the heart of defining, organizing, and driving execution of our overall strategy for future hardware and software plansCollaborate with hardware, software, design, marketing, 1PP & 3PP game studios, and other key contributorsManage cadence, agenda, and logistics for weekly cross-team meetingsDrive agenda and manage coordination for key executive leadership updatesBuild operational processes and practices that drive efficiencies for the team and partnersOwn and drive the communication and action-item follow-ups resulting from any meetingsBe a member of an organization that provides ample opportunity for growth
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Additional or preferred qualifications
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 10+ years of related experience in Product Development, Finance, Marketing or StrategyDemonstrated success in leading complex, cross group initiatives from inception to shipHigh quality communication, collaboration, negotiation and project management skillsSelf-starter who not only deals well with, but thrives in ambiguityDream to innovate and think about complex problems while retaining focus on maintaining a profitable businessRobust attention to details and analytical problem-solving capabilitiesExperience w/ a full shipping cycle of gaming focused products (e.g. Games, Xbox, Playstation, Steam, etc)Deep passion for consumer products, gaming or the entertainment business
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
