Whether it is with a controller, keyboard and mouse, audio devices, steering wheels, flight-sticks or new and innovative devices such as the Xbox Adaptive controller, the Input and Accessories team within the XBOX Platform organization is at the center of the player-centric vision for gaming initiatives across all Microsoft platforms, including Xbox consoles, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Windows and more. This team is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to manage the development of the Xbox devices input stack.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will make important product decisions, work with key stakeholders to ensure that products meet schedules, budgets, and deliver on the technical requirements to empower the industry’s best creators. You will have the opportunity to work with teams across Microsoft, spanning from Software, Firmware, Hardware, Industrial Design, User Research, and many more teams to build next generation input experiences and devices for our gaming platforms.

Define, scope and execute programs/projects including creating and driving schedules, tracking of issues, facilitating and reporting on program progress, and leading a broad set of partner teams to deliver these programs.Work with firmware and software developers to keep the program on schedule, budget, and drive any product changes required to ensure that the program meets the requirements set forth in the Product Requirements.Work directly with internal and external development teams, electrical and wireless engineering teams, test and validation, reliability, compliance, marketing, and other hardware and software teams.Embody our Culture and Values

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, or product development for a shipped consumer productOR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.Experience communicating technical concepts to different audiences and comprehending and assimilating technical concepts across multiple disciplines.Experience managing multiple design activities and development schedules, and working with software and hardware development processes.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development for a shipped consumer productOR equivalent experience.4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).Experience in software design.Experience in devices and hardware development.Experience with gaming and/or entertainment consumer products.Experience working with international development and manufacturing teams.Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
