Global Workplace Services (GWS) Technology Team owns development of Microsoft’s Digital Transformational strategy, supporting solutions or experiences (employee and operational), and products across the Real Estate and Security (RE&S) Global Workplace Services portfolio. We ensure alignment to Microsoft’s strategy to deliver connected, accessible, sustainable, and secure environments by partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver world class digital systems and experiences driving the future of Microsoft’s core business. We are hiring a Techincal Program Manager to assist us in this critical work.

GWS Technology Objectives:

Architect, plan, pilot, and design future visitor, customer, employee, and operational experiences based on a human centered universal design mindsetWork with GWS Technology leadership to inform the strategic vision and lead/support the execution of digital transformation initiatives from inception to operations.Research, Incubate & Assess Future trends around digital transformation and industry-shaping technologies for adoption & analyze their implications on the combined organization. Develop, empower, and apply the digital building lifecycle process and technology to transform the plan-build-live aspects of our real estate and digital portfolio. The GWS Technology team is looking for an experienced Digital Transformation Technical Program Manager who can drive large-scale technology and infrastructure transformation projects.

As an agent of change, you will require broad technological expertise and must have a demonstrated background in design, construction, application development, project management and/or program management and related processes and technologies.

You need to be able to apply advanced analytics and be experienced in principles of functional and technical architecture to define appropriate solutions and strategy at a high level.

You need demonstrable experience in establishing or developing requirements for business analysis, planning, solutions deployment, and inform operational models.

You will also be expected to do the following:

Participate in and inform GWS Technology annual strategy, vision, and roadmap.Drive partnerships, alignment, innovation, and compliance across GWS, product groups, IT, and external partners where possibleOversees a portfolio of projects and is responsible for the development and execution of project plan, timelines, key milestones, tech architecture, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for crucial programs. Communicates the program status and risk to relevant stakeholders and holds all parties accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans, and processes. Establishes objectives and success criteria for the project in an inclusive collaborative manner with all stakeholders.Facilitate experiments, POCs and prototypes that test hypothesis, validate assumptions, and create insights that informs future strategy and direction of GWS Technology investment. Champion internal GWS innovation using the available suite of Microsoft and industry products; Power Platform, Dynamics, Azure IOT, CoPilot, Azure Digital Twins, Office 365, and other products and Original Equiqment Manufacturer (OEM) partner offerings Develop executive business cases, project plans, and subsequent reporting for all Dynamic Thresholds (DT) projects assigned ensuring appropriate approval, validation and assessment prior to additional investment or expansion. Provide transparency of product and process via regular project/program reporting updates to GWS Technology leadership, peers, and stakeholders: evangelizing crucial programs to stakeholders, partners, and customers to gain buy in. Leveraging data and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]) to demonstrate the value of the program and show business impact. Tailoring communication style and storytelling strategy according to audience and business needs. Drives the rhythm of business (ROB) during plan execution to ensure participants and stakeholders are communicating and responding according to the necessary cadence. Drives others to work across teams (e.g., Landing, Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Technical Program Management) to ensure all program requirements are understood and can be met. Generate awareness across GWS of available solutions through multiple mechanisms: virtual and in person presentations, partnerships, SharePoint, Yammer, social media (where possible) and documentation. Capture data, identify risks, drive consensus, create SOWs, facilitate approvals, manage budget and timeline for DT projects assigned – creating business cases to justify CAPEX and OPEX budget requests for all DT or Innovation projects assigned.Coordinate to ensure privacy, security and accessibility compliance with CSE&O & Digital Security & Resilience (DSRE) and other related parties (IoT and Software teams) Work with Procurement, Compliance, Governance and legal to validate scope, contracts and terms to ensure we are following policy and GWS mandated processes wherever possible.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Additional or preferred qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).Has 10+ years of prior Technical Program Management or Project Management experience - management experience involving managing direct reports (FTEs), contract workers, and virtual/matrixed partners a plusFamiliarity with software and hardware development processes, agile development, last planner and other planning methodologies desiredPrior experience guiding stakeholders and leading development projects.Familiarity with current and future looking technologies and trends, both first party and third party, application and service providers in AEC and RE&F desiredFamiliarity with commercial real estate operations and facilities management desired, design and construction requiredTechnical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
