Microsoft Azure Edge + Platform (E+P) is a globally distributed team of engineers, architects, program managers, product managers, business program managers, business administrators, user experience researchers and designers who are responsible for the platform for Microsoft and for delivering Microsoft’s edge vision. We create the most reliable and trustworthy OS and platform services to empower Microsoft and our customers to achieve more. We unlock the next wave of opportunity at the edge through an at-scale ecosystem driving widespread adoption of our Microsoft cloud services. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our team.

The Sky teams’ mission is to "Empower Microsoft Cloud teams and their customers to easily deliver high-quality services using standard cloud architecture and infrastructure.” The team aims to improve engineering efficiency, service reliability, resiliency, and quality, by reducing the complexity of infrastructure solutions and tooling Microsoft Engineers have to work with.

We are looking for Technical Program Manager with a passion for customer focused solutions that solve real-world problems and empower teams across the company. In this role, you will shape the evolution of Azure infrastructure in areas like network traffic management, service configuration management and Cloud Native service building blocks for Azure Kubernetes Service. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders across Microsoft to gather requirements, establish scenarios and develop product plans.

Working within the Sky team you can change the way our 1st party engineers experience building product at Microsoft. With the E2E solutions our team builds, tailored to our 1st party engineer’s needs, we take away the joyless hours of compliance work, and bring back the time for coding quality products!

Work with engineering to design integrated customer solutions for technical needs related to 1st party Security, Compliance, and Standards.Contribute to program goals by prioritizing features/feature areas and orchestrating integration efforts for development and implementation.Develop staging and implementation plans for piloting & releases.Self-driven to stay informed of governance programs and processes.Validate use-case and scenario outcomes for customers and ensure we meet business goals.Act as a technical advisor to educate and evangelize feature/feature areas with customers and partners while ensuring systems meet quality, reliability, and service level requirements for a cloud environment. Contribute to customer supportability experiences and provide/update documentation as necessary.Effectively communicate with partners and stakeholders for planning and progress on initiatives using data. Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmento OR equivalent experience.

1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmento OR equivalent experience.4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
