Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture.

This role will provide the Principal Technical Program Manager with the ability to drive platform experience across the Fabric platform. They will be driving continuous experience improvements within Production LiveSite systems, inclusive of coordinating and aligning engineering efforts across the many teams involved in the success of Fabric: the Fabric platform team itself (including teams driving Engineering Systems, Fundamentals, Release Management, Security & Compliance and LiveSite) as well as internal product teams onboarding to Fabric.

Driving Objectives and Key Results: capture the Livesite , release management , fabric workloads and synthesize quantitative and qualitative feedback into actionable recommendations for the platform team in a prioritized manner. Evangelize, write technical playbooks, blogs and documentation.Continual Engineering Improvements: relentlessly champion and advocate for our security, reliability and be a change agent to develop innovative ways to resolve complex issues. You will use your engineering skills to improve our platform, to help support 30M+ MAU.Drive service health via regular Systems Reviews focused on reliability, performance, and overall Service health metrics.Communicate clearly about improvements, risks, and accomplishments on behalf of the team.Embody our culture and values

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
