Description

Overview

Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) - Core accelerates customer outcomes and business growth. By uniting product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and partners around a common customer mission, we help customers realize value faster and turn innovation into measurable business impact. Through deep technical expertise and differentiated go-to-market execution, we win competitively, capture market share, and scale repeatable growth motions. We differentiate through value creation - delivering world-class, AI-powered customer experiences that accelerate adoption, strengthen loyalty, and create sustainable competitive advantage, driving growth that outpaces the market. The Customer & Commercial Success (CCS) organization, an organization within MCAPS-Core, is the connected engine that turns Microsoft’s commercial strategy into execution at scale — making it simpler and faster for the field to win for every customer, in every segment, region, and role. The organization brings together planning, landing, execution excellence, services portfolio and delivery, and field activation across Account Team Unit (ATU), Solution Team Unit (STU), and Customer Success Unit (CSU) to accelerate customer value, drive growth, and strengthen the end-to-end experience across every customer moment. This is a high-visibility individual-contributor role for someone equally comfortable inside a semantic model and in front of leadership. As the go-to owner of Security Usage Analyst, you will work with stakeholders to define what counts as usage, publish and iterate the reports the field depends on, and clear the governance, access, and data-quality blockers that sit between telemetry and action. You will partner across Product Group, Marketing, Finance, Business Architecture, and Compensation to make security usage a reliable, compensable source of truth.

Candidates who live within 50 miles of Microsoft's Redmond campus will be required to work in the office 3 days per week.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

• Build and maintain executive-ready reporting dashboards, leveraging semantic models and narratives that integrate Threat Protection, Data Security, and Cloud Security into a single story for field execution.

• Author enablement content and field guidance that clarifies metric logic, licensing and subscription cycles, and usage thresholds, giving the field clear paths to diagnose issues and drive customer adoption.

Telemetry, Data Quality, and Field Escalation

• Serve as the primary point of contact for telemetry and metric questions, leading root-cause investigations into data fluctuations and defects.

• Run a structured field escalation process, partnering with engineering and data teams to resolve systemic issues and drive down time-to-fix for data defects.

• Host recurring reporting clinics and office hours that accelerate field readiness and keep metric interpretation consistent across teams.

Governance, Access, and Compliance

• Establish and maintain a governance framework for fiscal-year and compensable metrics, including access controls, attestation.

• Model integrity and full adherence to Microsoft policies, and compliance requirements in every decision.

Strategic Planning and Cross-Org Influence

• Lead preparation and planning for annual compensable metrics, building alignment across Product Group, Marketing, Finance, Compensation, and Business Architecture teams.

• Deliver ad-hoc analyses and active-usage studies that inform business strategy and leadership decisions.

• Build and scale cross-org data insights and promote data-driven decision making, hosting monthly reviews that democratize insights across Product, Finance, Marketing, Business Strategy, and the field.
