We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join the Gaming Devices + AI Engineering team. Documents the appropriate test requirements and improvements to be included in relevant hardware designs by applying an understanding of how moderately complex features or products work under a variety of customer scenarios. Reviews verification plans to determine whether current test equipment is suitable for measuring features of product technology based on newly created or modified verification plans. Advises in the purchase of new test equipment. Collaborates with other stakeholders to ensure test strategy is sound and meets constraints. Writes design verification test cases using standard templates and test methodologies, or creates new templates. Develops, reviews, and executes test plans for moderately complex or small sized scope feature areas or products. Develops coverage and process in the outsourced testing plans that defines the format of the content to be reported by the external partner/supplier. Sets up and breaks down testing environments for other engineers. Follows safety guidelines. Designs and develops automated testing solutions; independently conducts automated testing on moderately complex feature areas or products within a subsystem. Creates dashboards or reports for testing and quality metrics based on available data. Uses data/statistical analyses to identify complex problems or flaws that may affect a feature or product design change. Identifies possible solutions and brings them to the attention of other engineers or team leads. Develops prototype components for use in validation of new product features with minimal guidance.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years related technical engineering experience 

o OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 1+ years related technical engineering experience 

o OR equivalent experience. 

1+ years of work experience in the consumer electronic industry including product quality, reliability, or manufacturing test, and electromechanical test experience .   



Additional or Preferred Qualifications 

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related technical engineering experience  OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related technical engineering experience  OR Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, or related field  OR equivalent experience.  5+ years relevant technical engineering experience  5+ years of work experience in the consumer electronic industry including product quality, reliability, or manufacturing test.  Direct experience in mechanical testing of LCD/LED/gyro/accelerometer/magnetometer sensor packages.  Experience with Fanuc robot programming, DIC, High Speed DIC, instrumentation and Creo  Practical knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, CLCA, SPC, Pareto charts, FMEA, GR&R, FAI, CPK, PPAP etc.  Use and apply statistical analysis to evaluate product reliability and highlight potential product risks – Six Sigma Greenbelt is a plus. 

Mechanical Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
