OverviewOVERVIEW: The team’s charter is to build out end to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure while driving down unit cost of capacity, ensuring cloud services achieve both profit and gross margin growth. As a crucial member of the team, you’ll also support long term bets and drive competitive intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition. All while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments, safeguarding shareholder interest.
We are looking for a Finance Manager supporting our cloud product margins and strategy, defining key areas for margin expansion for Azure Compute.

Responsibilities
Partner with the Azure Compute Engineering leadership team to identify and prioritize investments for sustained margin growthBe a trusted advisor and build working relationships with the Azure Compute leadership teamIn partnership with engineering teams, co-own the product roadmap. Drive clear, consistent planning assumptions, financial performance expectations across cross-functional teams with clear, consistent assumptions around margin expectations, and engineering efficiencies (utilization, hardware density, etc)Collaborate with engineering, business planning and finance counterparts to define Virtual Machines product enhancements, support market share acceleration and margin growth.Deliver quarterly financial, operational review with EG leaders, clearly communicating results and recommendations to senior business leaders. Own analysis of key metrics, visualization Insights and investment recommendation to key executives
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communicationsThorough and detailed oriented, while summarizing analysis to drive broader business context and insightComfortable handling ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at fast paceAble to manage multiple work streams and prioritize as neededStrong partnering capabilities, collaborative and inclusive when working with othersSynthesize and communicate analyses; provide insight to senior leaders and business partners
Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,800 - $153,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $102,200 - $169,900 per year.
