Description

Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

We are looking for a talented Director of Network Supply Chain to help build sustainable advantages through the supply chain. Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Sustainability & Security (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing and supply of IT hardware for the data centers. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Manage and lead team responsible for 3PL relationship, performance and strategy.Define and implement our overall supply management strategy to ensure available supply, mitigate E&O risk and assure clear visibility into material availability.Coordinate internally with engineering, Sourcing and Supply Planning to ensure T&Cs, processes and tooling in line with MSFT requirements.Negotiate favorable terms for MSFT, supporting CSCP goals.Define and implement our overall supply management strategy to increase available supply, mitigate E&O risk and assure clear visibility into material availability .Manage supplier performance and compliance through developing and enabling new suppliers, and analyzing financial health of supplier ecosystem to support partnership recommendations.Define and manage metrics to assure team is meeting deliverables and meeting service level requirements for meeting demand requirements.Other

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 10+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 8+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

OR equivalent experience.

Experience in leading cross functional teams.Knowledge of Datacenter and/or Cloud infrastructure.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Good communication and synthesizing skills of both written and verbal. Influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships across multiple layers in the organization. Extensive knowledge of 3PL management and supply chain. Demonstrated track record in supplier negotiation and management.

Supply Planning M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
