Description
OverviewThe Director, GTM & Product Planning (Windows Consumer) leads the Windows Consumer planning cycle and GTM readiness system, integrating internal and partner signals to shape long-range GTM strategy, product requirements, launch execution, and ecosystem readiness. Responsible for translating strategy into execution through scalable planning processes, governance, and cross-functional alignment.
This role is based in Redmond, Washington and requires a minimum of three days per week onsite to enable close collaboration with executive leaders, cross-functional partners, and the global marketing organization.
Responsibilities
Consumer Planning & GTM Leadership
Own the end-to-end Windows Consumer planning framework, including planning calendars, milestones, readiness reviews, and operating rhythms.Drive alignment across Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, OEM, Retail, and Silicon teams to ensure clear execution plans and business outcomes.Product Readiness & Ecosystem Execution
Lead launch readiness and disclosure planning for new products, features, and strategic initiatives across the Windows ecosystem.Establish governance processes, manage execution risks and dependencies, and ensure partner readiness for successful launches.Long-Lead Strategy & Planning
Shape long-range GTM strategies, requirements, and timelines for new products, competitive initiatives, and growth opportunities.Integrate market, customer, and partner insights into actionable plans that strengthen ecosystem execution and business performance.Executive Leadership & Business Management
Develop executive-ready business reviews, recommendations, and decision frameworks that guide investment and planning decisions.Lead cross-functional decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and business tradeoffs across a complex global partner ecosystem.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.Preferred Qualifications
Track record of leading complex cross-functional planning, business strategy, or go-to-market programs.Strong strategic thinking, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to influence across organizations and drive alignment without direct authority.Experience working across product, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and partner organizations.Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into scalable planning systems and execution excellence.
Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
