 We have an exciting opportunity in the role of Chief of Staff, where you will serve as a strategic partner to Microsoft’s Chief Partner Officer and to the Global Channel Partner Sales (GCPS) leadership team, translating vision into execution across the business.
Global Channel Partner Sales (GCPS) is accountable for the strategy and execution of our business across Microsoft’s enormous partner ecosystem. We are proud to lead the largest partner ecosystem in the industry with more than 500k partners operating in every customer segment, solution area, industry, and geographic area. GCPS directly leads the execution of Channel Strategy within our Small, Medium Enterprises & Channel (SME&C) organization and guides the strategy of our overall partner ecosystem through the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program (MAICPP), which includes our co-sell and incentives strategies. This role is instrumental in influencing the growth and evolution of this fast paced, dynamic growth business. In this role, you will operate at the center of strategic and operational execution, and drive culture and change leadership at scale. You will orchestrate cross-functional priorities, strengthen decision support for senior leaders, and accelerate modern ways of working across the organization, including AI-driven transformation and workflow modernization.

Responsibilities
Maximizing/ Extending the Leader
Serves as a trusted advisor to the leader and leadership team by operating effectively in ambiguity, driving clarity, high discretion and discernment, and synthesizing insights into strategic framing and decision support.
Builds and cultivates relationships at scale for the business while using understanding of stakeholder needs to ensure the optimal use of leaders' time.
Represent the leaders’ perspective and strategy in meetings and other forums to enable scale and maximize leader productivity
Organizational Health
Shapes and executes the organization’s culture and connection plan, including leadership team engagement, manager community development, and leader communications such as town halls, AMAs, and broader messaging.
People Management
Leads and manages the GCPS Executive Office, ensuring effective orchestration and operational management across internal and external engagements, executive administration, rhythm of business, and leadership team engagement.
Encourages a growth mindset environment, supports team building, networking opportunities, and team thriving in a fast-paced climate. Cultivates GCPS culture and mentors others across the Business Management discipline.
Delivers success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.

Business Operations
Leads strategic execution for the organization by translating vision into clear priorities, operating mechanisms, and action plans that advance business goals throughout the fiscal year.
Leads the design, alignment, and execution of the GCPS rhythm of business and operating model, including key business reviews and performance management.
Leverages rhythms with extended business partners and organizations, including MCAPS, SME&C, Marketing, HR, Finance, and Engineering, to ensure integrated execution across the broader ecosystem.
Oversees planning for budget, headcount, and resource allocation, ensuring strong governance, thoughtful prioritization, risk mitigation, and identification of growth or reinvestment opportunities. Partners with Finance to approve P&L and guide deliberate investment decisions to support the growth and success of the business
Oversees the tracking of financial progress to date against budget and manages complex budgets and negotiation.
Guides the leadership team in our strategy for organizational design to ensure we are market competitive and optimally resourced to maximize our people and business objectives
Leverages key partnerships to drive the agenda for the leadership team and ensures follow up. Builds and cultivates relationships with senior leaders and executives. 
Executive Leader and Team Communications
Develop and guide the strategy for internal and external executive communications across all communication vehicles for the Chief Partner Officer, designed to maximize business outcomes, resonate with employees to create connection and clarity
Manages and directs communications staff responsible for developing content and messaging to articulate the organization mission, strategy, initiatives, organizational/company strategy, and vision on behalf of the leader.
Special Project/Programs and Initiatives
Leads project/program management to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple disciplines and business organizations.
Leads and coordinates cross-functional programs that support business growth and transformation, including change leadership, workflow modernization, and AI-enabled ways of working.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources or business-related rolesOR equivalent experience.Additional or Preferred Qualifications 
Experience supporting executive-level strategic planning, project management, and operational leadership within a large, complex sales organization, with strong understanding of Microsoft’s organization, business models, and cross-functional engagement across corporate and regional teams.Experience in change management and navigating organization transformation. 5 + years people management experience.Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in alignment with organizational goals.Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity.Ability to work on multi-cultural environment and to drive initiatives and narratives that enhance innovation  
Business Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
